Breakwater School’s Toddler Program is a joyful place, where children and their parents or caregivers come to learn about child development, create friendships and have fun!

BREAKWATER SCHOOL'S TODDLER PROGRAM

Breakwater’s half-day Toddler Program is designed to introduce toddlers to other children similar in age, as well as to school and the world beyond family. The inclusion of parents in the program assures support in building community with other parents, based on common connections in raising very young children.

Children can be enrolled for two, three or five mornings a week from 8:45 to 11:45. Extended hours (7:45 to 2:45) are available for those seeking a full day program for their child.

Classes are filled with hands-on exploration and indoor and outdoor play.

The program brings two experienced teachers and a small group of toddlers and their parents, grandparents or caregivers together for free play and structured activities. Experiences and materials are designed to engage the developmental interests of toddlers and to offer ideas that can be used at home.

Ages:
Our Toddler Program is designed for children aged 18-36 months old. (Children should be at least 18 months by October 15, 2009 and must be walking.)

Schedule:
The program is held Monday through Friday from 8:45 - 11:45 am from October through May and is limited to ten children each day. Parents may enroll their child for a schedule of two, three or five mornings, with extended hours available to those who may be interested. We begin the week of October 6, 2009 and end May 27, 2010. The program follows Breakwater’s school calendar of holidays and snow closings.

PARENT/TODDLER PLAY DAYS ARE STILL AVAILABLE!

Each Friday morning, from 9:30-11 a.m., Breakwater’ School offers a parent cooperative play group for young toddlers (ages 12 to 28 months) and their parent or caregiver.

Parent/Toddler Play Days include hands-on exploration, creative activities and indoor and outdoor play. Our Parent & Toddler Program is facilitated by Breakwater’s Early Childhood Division Director.

$95 per 10 week session

We want this to be a nurturing time for you and your toddler, so we encourage you to leave younger siblings in someone else’s care, however a small number of babies in arms can be accommodated.
