The mission of Breakwater’s Visionary Council is to assist the Head of School and the Board of Trustees with the strategic assessment and planning of the School’s long-term goals to:

• increase Breakwater’s visibility and brand recognition in the Portland community
• enhance the value Breakwater adds to the larger community
• engage loyal supporters and benefit from their experience and expertise
• develop new relationships with community business, educational, and nonprofit leaders
• continuously improve our educational practice and sustainability efforts
