Director of Admissions – Full Time

The Director of Admission will oversee the enrollment management process, from point of inquiry through matriculation, with a focus on student retention. He or she will represent the School and its mission to prospective families and the community and will play an active role in marketing strategy.

Requirements:
The candidate must have:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent organization and attention to detail
• 3 years of admissions experience is preferred, though not required

Responsibilities include the following:

• To present the School to prospective students and parents, including: 
• The systematic and efficient handling of applications and communications with candidates and their parents 
• Interviews with candidates and their parents 
• Arrangements for candidate evaluation 
• Securing of necessary student credentials 
• Discussing with families sensitive issues of financial aid and student needs 
• Communicating final decisions to the appropriate individuals 
• Welcoming new families into the community 
• To evaluate continually all aspects of the admissions and marketing program with the goal of maintaining a capacity enrollment of qualified students and a wait-list of qualified applicants. 
• To manage re-enrollment of current students for the succeeding year. 
• To manage the process of allocating and tracking financial aid. 
• To represent the School at various gatherings and conferences, including some events outside of the typical school day hours. 
• To develop and cultivate relationships with the School’s Faculty. 
• To support the School and its leadership.

This is a full-time, twelve month position. The nature of the Admissions cycle requires attendance at events and activities outside of normal school hours, particularly in the fall and winter.
